The Basics of Bubbly

30 Dec

2011 is quickly approaching and while you might be scrambling to find your sequined party dress, obnoxious noisemakers and designated driver, I’ve got your healthy drinking decisions covered.

It’s an easy decision: Champagne!

Champagne: sparkling wine produced in the French region of Champagne–although some American producers still use the “champagne” title on their products.  Champagne can range in price from $4 to upwards of $200 and has an average alcohol content of 10-12%.

But not all champagnes are created equal when it comes to calories!

DRINK THIS:

Andre Brut Extra Dry $3.99

4 oz=60-65 calories

NOT THAT:

Andre Strawberry Champagne $3.99
