Life lessons from our favorite Kardashian

20 Oct

Can I just have my 15 minutes of birthday “fame” without being overshadowed by an uber-hot, rich celebrity?  Nope.

Little did I know, I shared my birthday weekend with everyone’s favorite celeb-Kimmy Kardashian.  This past weekend Kim celebrated her 30th birthday (which is actually not until Oct. 31) at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas with friends and family.

So what’s Kim’s drink of choice?  Just before midnight on Friday, Kim tweeted “The festivities have started!!!! One white russian coming up!”

For those of youwho are unfamiliar with the white russian, it is basically a cocktail made up of vodka, coffee liqeur, and cream.  White Russians experienced a resurgence in popularity in recent years thanks to their appearance in 1998 cult comedy The Big Lebowski and a growing celebrity following.   Unfortunately,  the white russian recipe can range from 250-400 calories, depending on the specific ingredients and measurements.

After seeing how amazing Kim looked on her 30th birthday, I had a hard time believing she was an avid white russian drinker.  But after one peek at Kim’s (nearly) nude photos on the November cover of W Magazine, I was CERTAIN her fattening drink order was a one-time indulgence.  Take a look for yourself….

Turn’s out, my gut (no pun intended) instinct was right…In the W feature article, Kim admits “I’m not a drinker, and when I’m up on the table dancing, it’s for the picture.”  In past interviews, Kim has stated her dislike for taste of alcohol and reemphasized how rarely she drinks. And who could forget Kim’s reluctance to drink with her party animal sisters in an episode of Kourntey and Khloe Take Miami

Moral of the story = Don’t drink alcohol ever.

KIDDING!!! But we can learn a thing or two from Kim:

1. Don’t drink white russians.

2. Enjoy health-conscious drinks in moderation.

3.  Don’t ever trust Ray J with a video camera
